Kalandar 2019

The Kalandar Project is an initiative aimed at creating a long-standing artwork inspired and informed by the residents of East Nowra. This Artwork captures the feeling/expression of the community. Placing an unidentified silhouette that embodies historical housing built to house Naval personnel after WWII, and the native Black Cockatoo (a First Nations word pronounced Nowa Nowa), questioning the role of place and community in the development of identity.

The project was in collaboration with @shoalhavencitycouncil and @mission_aust and was organised by @verbsyndicate.
