Social Weave 2017

In the age of information, current media focus has shined a light on the state of race issues on a global scale. Some of which are blindly overlooked or thought to be overcome, by some. Social Weave aims to break down all social stigmas/barriers/indifference. By casting a shadow on the figure, no difference is perceived, connoting a connection to humanity not defining identity by the colour of skin or the actions of communities. Instead, all cultures should weave together into a coexisting blanket enriched with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Here is the BSAF 2017 recap video: A massive thank you to everyone that contributed to making the second year of the festival so successful! The event grew to involve many new elements including a workshop and undergrad academic program in partnership with QUT (Queensland University of Technology) (ReForm), a strong exhibition program involving more than 150 (!)
